Krasnogorsky Zavod to open again.....a new Zenit is on the way
Re: Krasnogorsky Zavod to open again.....a new Zenit is on the way
"Zenit" and "luxury" seem at odds with each other in most vocabularies.

"Zenit" is the new "Luxury"

I need to check but a friend in Russia says this may be total BS.
If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.

How long would it take them to build a factory, then train a staff to make the cameras? And with who's money? The State is obviously spending all theirs on the proxy wars.

Anyway, as long as they don't buy our apples and pears anymore, I won't invest in Russian crap either. The recent threads here about the Speedex/Isolette and Olympus Pen HF got me far more excited

I'll bet the original factory is probably still there. And the original equipment, too. It's probably rusty and old as dirt, but I'll bet they'll coax it into life again. Whether or not the resulting camera could be defined as "luxury" is in the eye of the beholder.PFMcFarland wrote:How long would it take them to build a factory, then train a staff to make the cameras?
