Phil, All of those photos look awfully good to me. The one that stood out especially was the car in the woods setting- very pleasing. And the rest of them show that it works for all sorts of approaches and needs-- like the house. As you say that you're happy with the size, I think that's a lens that can do an awful lot of things for the user. I feel that way about the Maxxum 35-105, but that one doesn't have the stretch on either end that your Nikon does.

Phil, awesome pictures. I like 'Lonely Abode' very much, as I'm always after that kind of landscapes myself. It might look even better with the branches on the left cropped out? That Nikkor looks like a great lens. I was thinking of getting one of those myself (for my F100) but I fear the nice 50mm f/1.8G will not get used anymore then.

That is a good range for a zoom! and the results look excellent. I like the Lonely Abode.

Ditto on the Lonely Abode. Might make a suitable subject to go back out with an even bigger camera... :-)

Thanks, all.

Robert, there are many times I wish I had a 4x5. Picked up a Kodak tank and hangers today, just in case.

I wonder if an Intrepid might not suit you. I have one from the last Kickstarter batch coming in a few weeks; they're supposed to start making them generally available after that.
