Zorki-6 Check Out

After making some adjustments on the camera back in March, I loaded it with some Ektar 100, put on an I-26m, and hit the road. I think it still needs some work on the shutter, but will have to wait for the roll of Tri-X from last week to see if the higher speeds are off.

Treeflections and Overload are great ones. The Zorki-6 is my favorite Soviet RF.

Glad that you got it to work - this test series looks all right. What lens did you use? I'd guess an Industar-50 (or an I -26) from treeflections sharpness.

Thanks, Julio. It was the I-26m. I inserted that in another forum I posted this on, then forgot to come back and fix this one too. The info is there now.

I got the Z-6 because like the FED-2, it has the wide rangefinder base, and corrected viewfinder. Add to that the swing open film door, and it's almost perfect. If it had a different take-up spool, then I wouldn't have to trim the film leaders.

That I-26 really shines!!

I had a Zorki 6 for awhile. Liked it, but it the film door had a bad habit of coming open by itself.

After looking at the roll of Tri-X I shot next, Nathan, it turns out there is a leak in the top of the door. Sighting down the length of the door, it appeared to have a bow in it, so I flexed it until it was straight again. Hopefully that will fix it, but I'll have to burn another roll of film to find out. If it doesn't, then I'll be putting more seal material in the groove. Of course, now it's going to cloud up and rain for the next couple of days.
