It's that time of the year again. To me, the appearance of the bluebells always means that it's time to get the camera gear out of winter hibernation, give it all the once over and prepare for another season of picture taking. I'm not a winter person and I'll only get out and about in winter if there is something really worthwhile to photograph like the freezing fog we had two years ago.
On Sunday last, I took a walk in our nearby forest, and came home with bluebell pictures to add to the collection that has been building up for quite a few years now. I also took a shot of the approaching storm over our local lake.
I used a Nikon D610 and 24-85mm f3.5-4.5G VR ED hand held. I regretted not taking a tripod along as I had to raise the ISO to 400 under the variable lighting conditions, to achieve a decent shutter speed with the aperture at f8 or f11. These are some of the images:

Graham,
Those are gorgeous photos. The sight of all the trees and greenery is very welcome to these desert-accustomed eyes. The woodland paths are very inviting.
Thanks for a pretty post,
Best,
Dennis
