Hi all -
Mighty storm blew through last night. Went from 63 degrees and sunny yesterday to six inches of snow overnight. I drove into work, only to turn around and come home to work from here due to the threat of even more snow which, coincidentally, never materialized. They never seem to get it right around here. Anyway, I was working from home, my wife was, and the kids were home.
Maddie dragged her tripod (Christmas gift) and digital out back in the snow because the sun off the snow was so nice. I saw one of her shots and decided it was worthy of a large format attempt.

Not sure if it translated as well as I'd hoped, but it sure felt good to be out with the view camera again. This was the 4x5 and Nikkor 150/5.6 on Arista.
Thanks for looking.
Scott

Re: Snow day
It looks very tranquil. Your winds must have died down pretty quickly, Scott. No way would I have been able to do that today with steady winds of 20mph+, and gusts of 38mph. And all we got were flurries.

Re: Snow day
Good to see you out there again. Wonder how a more panoramic crop might do?
Thought about it myself, but we got >12" and I was too wiped out from shoveling. But that's OK, we're getting more today, and probably 3-5" Sunday night. Whee.
Hope that you get out there some more as the light improves!

Good to see that you got the 4x5 out again.
I'd have no show round here at the moment: it's supposed to have been summer, but endless winds of 100km/h plus (only 140km/h today....) means anything larger than a minox would be a liability

Nice. I love looking at snow, in pictures. Our last snow was over a year ago and looks like 70's F that is 21+C this weekend.
If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.
