Re: Distagon Win
This is a nice lens, and of course that was a great price. Is yours the older lens with the metal focusing ring? Or the newer Rollei-branded lens? I have the Rollei-branded version. To nitpick, when shot wide open, it doesn't have the creamy smooth bokeh that some people demand, but it's a very sharp lens. This was shot at f/2.8 using a Sony NEX-7.

Re: Distagon Win
mine is the West German made metal ring version, Zeiss brand qbm mount. it has been used but feels like it has been very well looked after.came from a photographers deceased estate. the more i look at it , the more i am impressed with it.

Re: Distagon Win
The earlier lenses are single-coated, I believe, and work better with digital cameras than the later multi-coated versions in displaying less purple fringing.
I think that you'll find that this is one heck of a nice lens.
I have a bunch of QBM lenses from 18mm up to 200mm. The lenses are quite good. The bodies are a bit dodgy. And that's being kind.

Re: Distagon Win
thanks for info.
i bought this lens because of it's reputed sharpness and it was clean and felt solid enough in my hands to be uses as a hand to hand weapon in a bar fight.Bokeh was not the consideration for a change. I saw 'made in west germany' and that sealed the deal.
It is a nice solid fit on my SL 35 ,and i have an adapter coming to use it on the A7.I think i will give it a workout with a roll of Velvia or ektar or an Agfachrome i got stashed somewhere
