Zorki-1D with Industar-22 50mm 1:3.5, on Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100.

And also Blue Ridge going off to the left. The AT (Appalachian Trail) traverses the ridges of these two mountains in Botetort County, VA.

Note: Arial cable on the left, and a cell tower on the right were removed from the image, and then Auto Smart Fix applied to bring up the contrast.

The Industar-22 lens will show a lot of detail when the lighting is just right.

This is what our area is mostly made of, a fractured limestone known as karst.

It used to be the bottom of an ocean until the central part of the North American continent quit moving, and the eastern part kept going, pushing up the mountains we know as Appalachia.

The Blue Ridge is on the eastern side of the Appalachians, and even though they have been worn down by weathering, the mountains that make up the Blue Ridge are in fact still rising.

The late afternoon sun makes wonderful shadows to accentuate this scene.

These B&W images are a testament to the wonderful character of the Industar 22 50mm f3.5. Very Leica Elmar. Great series, Phil.

Lots of good subjects well used. It is nice to see the little Zorki doing its job in good hands.

I never used the I-22 but the collapsible I-50 is also very good.

Nice, Phil. I especially like "Lines of Transportation, Restriction, and Communication."
