since i have been sidelined with the big C, i find i can get some gear out and test and shoot.so the the Sony A7 got fitted witih the AR 50/1.4 Hexanon
and ....WOW
i was most impresseed .morning walk in the tha park(to shift this frigging Oedema) and some of the usual mundane subjects
sharp already at 1.4 goes to razor by the time you hit 5.6....but the bokeh is just hmmmmm.and some interesting contrast and colour rendition i still have to get my head around the Front/Rear Bokeh......

Kali, I have this same lens, if you mean the all-metal version. The aperture is sticky on mine, and I just haven't gotten around to doing anything with it. I like what you did with it.

yes mike it's the all metal version..i had the lens for some time but only unboxed and mounted it this morning....this lens could match the pentax 50 /1.4 in every respect ......except one.thorium dioxide glass gives the pentax just that poofteenth better performance imho
this morning was just a low light sunup test run...happy with the performance

The lens seems excellent. I like that light well caught in the second one.
Re: taking an AR 50/1.4 Hexanon for a walk
yes Julio
it is an exelent lent.IMHO i think it is a sleeper....very underated but very much appreciated by those who reallly know the lens
i bought the lens sight unseen based on reputation alone.i was not disappointed

It looks like you should have taken that lens out of the box a lot sooner, Kalle. It works very well on your Sony.
