You can still get the stand-alone version Lightroom 6, but there will be no LR7, and eventually LR6 will be useless as updates are made to cameras and lenses that will not find their way into the LR6 profiles.

There are some good discussions on PentaxForums https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/32- ... -printing/about this. No doubt on Nikon and Canon fora, as well. I'm sure Adobe's stockholders are happy; me, not so much. I'm exploring other options such as Affinity Photo and ON1 Raw.
