One of the busier vendors at PhotoPlus Expo 2017 was the new Polaroid.
There was a tremendous amount of activity at its booth, and there were a lot of the cameras on display - from the OneStep to the SX70, plus different kinds of film.
Young people were working the booth, but they didn't know the history of Polaroid. One of them was in a conversation with an older gentleman who was asking if Polaroid was going to bring back the peel-apart Type 55 film packs. The Polaroid rep insisted that Polaroid had never produced such a product.
Oh, to be young!

No, I didn't. I ended up chasing down the guy for a conversation about Type 55 film.
Truth be told, I didn't like that camera the first time around.

Re: Polaroid at PhotoPlus 2017
I started losing interest in Polaroid when I couldn't get anymore roll film packs, and had to mothball my 110B. But when I got my first 4x5 camera, that got me interested again for a while. This latest crop of nostalgia film is intriguing, but I've yet to cut loose the funds to buy any.

It will be an "Instant" success. The new reformulated films are improving in leaps and bounds.
If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.
Re: Polaroid at PhotoPlus 2017
I might look for an SX-70 again if this instant film revival gets serious.
