Ihagee returns with a new 35mm camera.

Post by Captain Slack »

Lots of analog camera activity on Kickstarter nowadays!

This looks to be a less complicated camera than the Reflex I posted about in another thread.

Looks cool!
Will it be Nikon Ai mount? or the old school F with the prongs?

If you can't fix it with a hammer... you got an electrical problem
even duct tape can't fix stupid.... but it can muffle it (SilentObserver)

My writeup:
http://photographytoday.net/?q=news/two-new-film-cameras-under-development-represent-modern-traditional-approaches

What's interesting about the Ihagee camera is that there is a German team and a Ukrainian team.

The German team includes people from Leica and Schneider Kreuznach and will do the engineering and design work.

The Ukrainian team of about 20 people presumably are from the Arsenal factory, which used to make Kiev cameras during the Soviet era.

This is a manual-focus SLR - from what I can tell. It looks like more information will be released this week.

This photo is from a rumor site:

It's basically a reworked Kiev 19m with improved internal parts. If they all come with the 20mm 2.8D as pictured, then it's worth whatever they charge. ;-) (That's the first clue it is AI-S mount)

Hmmm, careful with old wine in new bags... A Kiev is not exactly what I am lusting for.

Is it a Kiev or a Zenit? :)

Here are some photos from the Kickstarter campaign page:

I like the woodgrain grip. Wonder if that comes standard or is an add-on?
