Red Oktober 2017

Post by PFMcFarland »

Yeah, I know I'm way late on this, but it's been a hectic last few months to say the least.

Anyway, this time I used two cameras, a Zorki-1d with Jupiter-8 on Fuji Neopan Acros 100, and a FED Zarya with Industar-26M on Ilford Delta 100.

I'm really liking the rebuilt Zorki, especially since it came with a -2 diopter installed. The Delta 100 really upped the sharpness game on the I-26M.

From the Zorki:

Nice images, Phil. You can't beat an Industar lens! I prefer my ID66 to my Jupiter 8.

Well done, comrade! I like the picture of the "quiet" window in a chapel (?), in the Flickr set. Excellent eye!

The I-26 is a fine lens indeed, as most of FSU optics IMHO. I have never used a Zorki 1, but should give some work to my Kiev and Zorki 6 sets.

I agree with Julio, I think the "quiet" picture has very good escape lines and composition.

Nice. It's good to see that something I started as a joke years ago is still going on.
If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.

Thanks, all. I too am quite fond of the I-26M. It was my favorite lens on my previous Zorki-1d/b, though the J-8 has its own character.

Just trying to keep the Red flag flying, Brother Larry. I have too much fun with FSU cameras when they work.

You do it well. I took the ARAX 60 out last Saturday and again today.

Sometimes the quiet views are the best views.
