I was fooling around and came up with these different macro setups, proving that anything is possible.
Nikon D7100 with manual extension tubes and Nikkor-S 50mm f1.4 manual focus lens.
Nikon D7100 with Nikon F - M39 adaptor and Canon M39 extension tubes with El-Nikkor 50mm f4.0 enlarger lens.
Nikon D7100 with M42 adaptor ring and Praktica bellows with Jupiter 8 50mm f2.0 lens mounted on macro focussing rail.
Pentax K10D with Praktica M42 bellows and TT&H f6.3 six inch anastigmat.
Macro, anyone?
Re: Macro, anyone?
It was just for fun, Julio. The effective f stop was somewhere around f128! Only the very centre of the image circle was used, of course! The lens is for a 6x8 plate.Julio1fer wrote:Awesome setups, Graham! The Pentax one is quite intriguing.

Nothing like re-purposing an old dial set lens. Those are some neat lash-ups, Graham.

Cool stuff. I'm accumulating some macro gear myself, but have not yet much results worth showing. I also visit some interesting websites regularly.
Re: Macro, anyone?
I don't have any pictures of the rigs but for a while I was shooting with stacked lenses, everything from a Supertak 135 reversed on a Takumar 200 to an enlarging lens duct taped to the front of a Canon 75-300 zoom. All effective, all fun.
Re: Macro, anyone?
Been digging in the subject of macro lately and found very good information on extreme-macro.co.uk
