Perkeo II - Winter

Post by alexvaras »

Another ride with the Perkeo II, this time one week after the biggest snowfall in Moscow history.

The purpose of this shooting was white snow, I think Im closer.

Some conclusions:
Perkeo II is still not a camera for -6 Celsius and I need to service the shutter and rings (focusing was stiff).
With snow up to my knees I cannot take pictures, at least two of them are rotated.
This viewfinder is still small for my hipster-type-of-glasses.
Despite all, I'm happy with the results.

Some repetitions of these two last photos can be seen on flckr.

Thank you for watching.

PD: Thx PF and Julio for the advices.

Well done Alex! I admire people that can go out, let alone take good pictures with a folder, in knee-deep snow and corresponding temperatures.

These came out well, the lens is sharp.

It will be 21C tomorrow. Nice shots.
If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.

Some beautiful shots there, Alex. I used to do the same thing when I was younger, just not with an old folder.

Your whites are looking good. You have to remember the snow is reflecting the light that reaches it, so if the sky is grey, so will be the snow to a certain extant. Just keep on what you are doing.
