And you've got more coming on! I have to try again next year to start my balcony garden, so there will be plenty of subjects. They were supposed to start repairing it back on June 1st, now we are told it will be the end of this month at the earliest. I lost a whole growing season because someone couldn't estimate correctly how long each balcony would take. I've enjoyed your photos all summer long, Graham.

Thank you all for the kind words. The show is not over yet, PF. Watch this space. Another two of these have opened overnight, but I know all will be lost if it rains. They will become too heavy for the stems to support.

Awesome Graham! Thank you!
Next summer I will take the digital camera to dacha, my wife likes flowers everywhere in the garden :)

No, Alex, please don't take a digital camera! For you, it has to be real film in a real camera.

Just beautiful, Graham. Can you say what is the variety of the 30-cm white dahlia?

James, as far as we can remember, it's a "Seattle" Dinner Plate Dahlia.
