I had high hopes for this one, with it's 165mm zoom.

Full frame, no corrections.
Fair Weather by br1078phot, on Flickr
Cropped to remove bottom clutter, and Date Stamp.
At 165mm by br1078phot, on Flickr
Camera shake kind of ruins this one.
Bumblebee In Pink by br1078phot, on Flickr
Couldn’t get the macro mode to work, so I just backed up, and zoomed in maximum.
Green Ridge Recreation Center by br1078phot, on Flickr
No corrections on this one.
Fishing Fish by br1078phot, on Flickr
Corrected exposure, and added contrast to bring out the underwater image.
In It Up To It’s Knees by br1078phot, on Flickr
Max zoom, rotated, cropped, exposure corrected. Lack of resolution really kills this one.

Win some, lose some, eh? Even if you don't use the camera more, that belt pouch looks pretty neat.

Your photos don't look so bad on my phone. Of course, only the left side displays...

Re: Yashica Zoomate 165EF Camera Test
Some of them came out really nice, and then others just look like crap. I've come to the conclusion that the AF system needs to be switched over to Spot whenever shooting anything more than 25 feet away. But with this camera, to change modes, you first have to shut it off! Then you make the mode selection, and turn the camera back on. Quite time consuming when you are shooting wildlife. It's the only P&S camera I've owned with this crazy way of mode changing. I may test out the AF Spot Mode later on.

I have the mate to this camera, went to load film into it yesterday and it was a 'no go'. I looked closer to it and found that the tang on the take-up spool is broken off.
I think that I only used it once years back and it done well.
Win some- loose some.
