Round here, the non-natives on public land are either being removed gradually by the council, or get removed by mother nature. Whenever there's a bit of a blow, it's the exotics that tend to fall over.

Pines (Pinus Radiata) are a pest plant here, as well as being an important source of forestry revenue...
In the UK, alien trees are slowly being eliminated from the national parks and reserves. Trouble is, the importation of alien trees and plants started with the Romans, so there can be some debate as to whether a tree is truly alien or not!

One tree that is definitely being eliminated is the Australian Eucalyptus (Myrtacae) in it's various incarnations, otherwise known as the Red/Blue/Cider/Snow Gum tree.
