About a year ago Flickr uploaded every photo that was on my computer to it's domain without me knowing it.
I didn't bother to go through them, I just deleted them all., and closed my account.----- Big mistake.
Now I am starting all over.
I also use Photobucket.

I use Firefox, Pablo, and it works fine for me. You also have to start to drag the mouse a little to get the cursor to change.

Six weeks later . . . is it still working for you, Phil? I can't seem to get the Notes to work anymore.

Yep, just tried it, and it's still working. Hold the left mouse button down for a few seconds, and then while holding it drag the pointer slowly, and it should convert into a Note box maker. If you let up too soon, it just makes the picture bigger.

Aha! Thanks. I was trying it on someone else's picture and nothing was happening. But I see it works perfectly on my own pictures.

In early days of Flickr (like ten years ago now!), you could also put Notes on the pictures of other people, at least on those of people you were "friends" with. I guess that doesn't exist anymore.

It's a setting of the picture's owner. If you go to Settings (click the little round icon of yourself at top right), then choose the tab 'Privacy and permissions', and scroll down to 'Defaults for new uploads', you can set who can see your pictures, and add comments, notes and people (add people? I'm off right now to edit John Lennon into the group at one of your parties!)

Ha ha. How about all of the cover shot of Sgt Pepper while you're there?

Thanks for that tip about the privacy settings. I never think much about them when I know I should.
