Well, the article was based on using a DSLR. A rangefinder camera of course solves the composition problem. But not many folks around here have digital rangefinders.

Nor do I, but you just gave me a great idea!!
I have a external viewfinder (that goes in the hot shoe) from Voigtlander!
I maybe able to use it for 35-50-75 equivalents (24-35-50mm)!!!
YOu are the man!!!

Kontur finders are one of the better things that Voigtlander ever made, though I must admit I haven't used mine since the last time I had my Vito B out, and that was many moons ago.

A few years back, I was shooting some of the Rollei Infrared, and I kept that to rangefinders, as well, because the IR filter made it impossible to see through the viewfinder. I also shot some with a Rollei 35, because it also was a viewfinder camera. I think that I might have one of those filters in Bay 1 for a Rolleiflex Automat.

The Kontur finders are really nice. I have a Voigtlander Turnit, which I guess got its name because you "turn it" around to switch from wide to telephoto.

Man, I need to stop shooting digital and shoot more film!

I was lucky to find a VITO II at a estate sale a couple of years ago... the camera itself needs love
BUT it came with a box of accesories, among those close-up filters, yellow, red filters, original hood, a flash show, and 2 konturs, the 50 and 35mm equivalents. All in good condition, with the original boxes, manuals, etc.

That accessory shoe is a very rare piece, Pablo. I paired my Perkeo II with a Vito II, but like yours, the Vito could use some work.
