Well, the Contax is back. The shutter tapes had to be replaced, and very little else.
I was interested in the Sonnar performance. The test roll was almost at noon, but it is hard to get much contrast from this lens. As for glowing, no doubt about it.
These samples are mostly crops, about 50% of full frame.
The tonal look is strange, the scanner had a hard time extracting a full range from low-contrast negatives. Old school look.
I did a lot of mistakes in this roll. Half of it was ruined because I shot with the lens not fully extended; for instance the first example, which came more or less usable anyway because of DOF. The blur to the left was not intended.
At a certain age one should stick to a single type of equipment!
