Yashica FX-3 Super 2000
A simple manual camera made by Kyocera, its main feature being the addition of a 1/2000 sec shutter speed. Mine came with the attached 1.7/50 Planar.

I was told by a Zeiss rep that these Yashicas were assembled on the same line as the Contax 137/139/159.

As a repairman I have to say this is the most fixed SLR here in Spain, so far 3. Weak point is on plastic lever that should catch the mirror/curtains down.
On the user side, very easy camera to use and great lenses, Zeiss or Yashica ones.
Congrats, Phil!
I actually have two of these as on the first one the Bulb setting doesn't work. I never really trusted them, the FX-2 being a better built body. I got an adapter the other week to be able to use this lens rangefinder coupled on my M4-P.
PF
Please, PF, what is that adapter with coupled rangefinder? A Planar in the M3 would be really nice.

Can you find a 40-40.5 step-up ring?
Otherwise I can design a shade for you to 3D print
Wish that I were so fortunate as to own a 3D printer, but thanks for the thought.
Manyu chinese sellers hve 40-40.5 stp up rings at a decent price
E.g.

It is manufactured by Shoten, and they have an eBay store where you can order them. They are made for only the 50mm focal length of whatever mount it is designed for, and they couple to the Leica M series rangefinder mechanism. So, if the brand of lens mount you order the adapter for has multiple 50mm lenses in different minimum or maximum aperture versions you can use any of those lenses focusing to infinity (they supply a small screwdriver in case you need to adjust the adapter). But you cannot use any other focal length as the design doesn't work on anything other than 50mm. Nothing longer or shorter. If you have a mirrorless camera you can use this adapter along with an M to whatever brand mount (like Nikon Z) your mirrorless camera is. To focus the lens you set it at infinity and use the Summicron style focus tab on the adapter.

Here is a camera I spent numerous hours on getting it back into working and cosmetic condition, the Univex Mercury II. Half-frame 35mm (65 frames on a 36-exposure roll) with the Universal 35mm 1:2.7 Tricor lens sporting a push-on Kodak Series V adapter ring 1 1/16" (27mm) with a Series V-A hood and yellow Series V filter.

That Mercury is an interesting camera. I like the exposure computer in the back.

The only problem with it is the older my eyes get, the harder it is to use it. It is however the most accurate Sunny-16 scale metering gauge I've ever seen. Someone should market a copy of it for all of us die-hard old camera users.

Interesting… have you tried it? Was it difficult to adjust?

Thanks, Pablo. Too bad the photos are no longer available for most of that thread, but then again I have no intention of working on either of my FX-3's.
