I found this picture on a roll of film left in a camera that I bought at a thrift store years back. A Minolta 7000, I still have the camera.

Ron, we solved this one back in Nelsonfoto times. One of the highest points of Internet coincidence. In a plane, bored, going through the airline magazine, and I see an image that rings a bell - after some memory work, it was very similar to the one in your Minolta.

The place is the city walls of Pompeii, the fabulous Roman site in southern Italy close to the Vesuvius vulcan. You may look in the web for more. Here is a typical image in a tourism site.

Some years after the Nelsonfoto thread I even got to visit the place for a few hours!
