Happy Birthday to the forum!

I just thought that I would mention that the forums are two years old today (March 24).

Thank you, everyone, for participating and making it a decent corner of the World Wide Web. :)

I still wish that we could get the content from nelsonfoto and merge it with this forum. There is a wealth of information, photos and many interesting posts.

I think that the forum has run very well, although there are still some odd things that crop up now and then with people's accounts. I think it has something to do with how I migrated the data from the previous version of phpBB.

For those who are wondering, the forums have generated less than $100 revenue for the year. That nearly covers the server contract, so it's close enough to paying for itself.

My thanks, too, for a first-class forum. Happy Birthday.

Wow, two years! Hard to believe it's been that long already. You're doing a good job of keeping things running, Mike, and I look forward to many more years of PhotographyToday.

Sincere thanks, Mike. I agree that it is a great shame about the NelsonFoto content. I have most of my posts saved from the forum as .Html files. I will slowly cut and paste and re-post some of them here, but it's a slow job because the image links no longer work as they were mostly hosted on a defunct server. I therefore have to up-load the images as well.
