Bill Cunningham passed away

Post by BillyBob »

NY Times

I've seen 'Bill Cunningham New York', and 'New Bohemia' a few times each and loved them.

He was such an interesting fellow. You really got the impression that he truly was a nice man.

Bill

p.s oops - this should've been in 35mm 'General Discussion'

Never really knew much about him, just the occasional mention here and there. Read where he'd had a stroke, and the next thing I know is he's gone. For someone his age, and still biking around NYC to do his thing, it just doesn't seem possible such a thing would bring him down.

I saw Bill Cunningham frequently at New York Fashion Week. He was an unassuming fellow, and I think that he felt very uncomfortable in the spotlight.

I wrote a short piece on him last week.
