Thanks for the comments, everyone. On the matter of the algae and reflection in the upper left corner, I did try a crop without that and it made the image a little sterile. I wanted it there as a border of sorts, affirming that the birds were headed toward shore and not suspended in the middle of the river. But, the little bit that is there isn't enough and there isn't any more in the image I shot. One of the other shots in the series had more of it to offer, so I tried a crop using it. This may be better.
