Hawk

One morning in March I went out to work in the garage and I took along a Sony A100 with a 70-210 Maxxum lens on it. The service door was open and from time to time I looked out to check the weather. One of those times I saw a hawk (Cooper's, I think) sitting on our neighbor's fence. I picked up the A-100, which was set on Program, and exposed several frames before the hawk flew off. I post one of these frames (processed with PS Elements 6) below, cropped and some lighting adjustment. Supposedly in the Speed Graphic era the saying was "f/8 and be there"; maybe in the digital era it could be "Program and be there". I won't have another chance like that because we sold our house in July. But that time I was pretty happy that I had a camera close by.
