Re: East Coast Members okay?
The news reports in these parts are a bit confused as to whether the gigantic rain- & windstorm that passed through here yesterday was or was not Matthew, or indeed a marriage of Matthew and Nicole. Some parts of Newfoundland got nearly 200mm of rain in a few hours and, next-door, in Cape Breton, they got even more. Where I am, in the extreme east coast of Nfld, we missed most of it. In central and western Nfld and on Cape Breton Island, many roads have been cut, isolating people for the next few days.

Rose is down that way - near St. Augustine, I think. Some friends of ours evacuated, but I don't know if they've returned.

Rose lives in a town North of Gainsville on the other side of the state.
If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.

My wife & I timed our trip to New York City perfectly: we left the day before Matthew arrived. Had to extend our trip by two days because the train tracks were washed out. Got home time and didn't have any damage. Saw a LOT of high water on the trip home.
