Checking out a Nikkormat FT2

Post by PFMcFarland »

I finally got around to checking out the FT2 with a brace of Nikkor non-AI lenses. I happened to pick a cold, blustery day to do it though, and that may have affected the battery and meter performance, as the entire roll of Kodak T-Max 100 was under exposed. I’ll have to shoot another roll when it gets warmer to see if that improves.

This was my first chance to actually get to use the Nikkor-H 300mm 1:4.5, as the other times I’ve taken it out nothing really cropped up as a suitable subject. I used a monopod to steady it and the camera, and it worked well despite the heavy breezes that day.

Nice. What are you using for batteries? I find the alkaline work just fine in mine.

If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.

A Vinnic silver-oxide 1.55v. I double checked the ISO setting, and it was correct.
