Hi all -

Took a little hike with my wife this morning to the waterfall on the hill. Haven't been there in a few years. Brought the 70D and a slew of ND filters. Had a few that turned out nicely; couldn't pick, so here they are:

I'm tempted to go back with the 4x5 and some of the Provia I have in the freezer. We shall see...

Thanks for looking.

Looking at all three on Flickr, I was thinking the first one was zoomed in too far, and the second (not shown here) was zoomed out too far. Your third one (second image above) stands on its own.

I don't think any of them show sufficient foreground.

Do get back there with the 4x5 - it is a great subject.

Graham, it's taken me a while to find and post this but, to your point, I agree that makes a stronger composition.

Yeah, that's much more interesting, Scott. The low angle reducing the trees in the background helps a lot.

(Note to Graham) That is Scott's new signature.

The last one looks great, that foreground tiny waterfall helps a lot.

Nice pictures. I never bring home great pictures when I go hiking with my wife.
