The Water Authority installed a new water tower for the north part of Roanoke County, VA next to the Splash Valley water park at the Green Ridge Recreation Center. It makes for a convenient billboard, seen from two Interstate roads.

Re: New Water Tank
Nice documentary, PF. Development is happening in your area. Water is usually a good thing to have around.

Re: New Water Tank
Thanks, Dustin and Julio.
Yes, plenty of development in the area, with new apartment communities going up, and now Roanoke County and the cities of Salem and Roanoke have gone together to buy up all the farm land in the area so they can turn it into an industrial park. This is of course right across the road from some expensive tracts of new homes, so those folks aren't too happy about the news. And they are complaining about how much more traffic will be on the road. Thing is, it was a nice quiet country lane until they all moved in with their morning and evening rushes to get to and from work.
