Leica R7 Test Drive

Took the R7 on a test drive with some Kodak Ektar 100. Lenses used were the Vario Elmar-R 35-70mm 1:3.5, and Elmarit-R Macro 60mm 1:2.8.
Rats! I was going to show all the photos, but the 25 URL limit kicked in, and it's just not proper to show some photos out of context with the rest, so go to
https://flic.kr/s/aHskZHAeHL to see the entire test.

Well, okay, here's one to whet your appetite.

The colors from the lens(es) are really pleasing to my eyes. Maybe that's the way Leica "tunes" them?--just enough and not too much?

Not bad for a zoom!
Enjoy that camera, PF. Nice shots in the morning mist. I will stay tuned.

I think it's more properly exposed Ektar, Bill. If you're much more than half a stop off, it just wrecks it, and this camera shows very little variance between exposure modes.

Thanks, Julio. I intend to give it more of a workout when I get my 28mm back from Leica NJ.

The test shots look great, PF, and it looked like you had fun taking it around. Looking forward to seeing the results when the 28 comes home.

Thanks, Robert. I too can't wait for it. I've already missed the Salem Fair, but there are some car shows coming up it will come handy at.
