Interesting shots by Ringo of the Beatles in 1964, and of Ringo with his Spotmatic. In picture #8, George is shown with a camera in his hand too. Anyone know what it is? The lens barrel reminds me of Russian cameras but it has me stymied.

Re: Ringo Photographer
It looks like some plastic 828 model with a viewfinder.

Re: Ringo Photographer
After further research, and getting some help on another forum, it's looking more like a black Asahi Pentax Spotmatic. It has two PC connections on front for bulb and electronic flash, and the Meter On switch can just be made out on the upper side of the lens mount.
PF
Amended: It's an SV, not a Spotmatic. I've been told that at the time the photo was taken, the introduction of the Spotmatic was still months away. That, and there is no battery cover on the bottom (the SV had no internal meter). So I take it that is not a meter switch I see in enlargements of the photo, but may be the bottom edge of the aux meter that clamped on top of the prism housing.

Re: Ringo Photographer
Resurrecting this old thread.
I bought the Beatles GetBack DVDs (cheaper than streaming) and have been looking at them slowly, it is a 7h behemot.
During one of the scenes, DVD 1, Twickenham Studio, Linda is seen with a Nikon F and 105/2.8 lens while on the Piano an Asahi Pentax is just sitting there.
Can be seen here in the last few seconds.

Re: Ringo Photographer
Linda was an avid photographer. She took many of the surviving images of the group. She used a Nikon F and a Leica M2.
