Hello,

I tried the clean the haze of the lens but I could not remove the second front lens. Now the lens is better than before but still not as it should.

The lens is removed from the LTM from the front counter clockwise, doorstopper or just the hand as I did.

Here is where a spanner tool would come in handy.

I have it, and I tried to remove the ring near the aperture, but I prefered not to force a lot, plus this lens is before the aperture... Maybe its opened this way and I need an extra push...

Alex, you may try to heat the lens assembly gently, say to about 40 C, to have thermal expansion working for you. Usually retaining rings are not ultratight, but anything can happen in old metal. The only way I know is using a spanner or equivalent tool, as you are doing.

I will try another spanner, just a metal bar crossing along the two spacers, I already took out the outer piece so only the lens remains, what I need is a circular wise with rubber to hold tight the lens, then I will loose that ring :D

It seems every item I disassemble something different is needed. I guess they had no ISO 9001 back in 1938.

Patent laws come into play, thus we wouldn't have the joy of Voigtlander designs.
