Hawking (or not-Hawking)'s camera

There is a photograph going around today that purports to show Stephen Hawking at a 1968 demonstration against the USA war against Vietnam. Almost as often the photo is being posted with counter-claims that deny it.

The camera is clearly a rangefinder but exactly which one I cannot tell. Any guesses?

Could it be a Werra?

Nice. I thought of Werra too because of the odd shape of the lens barrel. But I forgot there were RF Werras. The Werramatic does match it.
