Camera Talk

Sometime early in 2017, I cleaned up my Industar-22, then set it aside because I needed to get a good Zorki-1 to use it on (mine had finally worn out). Later that year I got a really nice Zorki-1d that had just been overhauled. I had also expanded my FSU lens collection to include some Jupiters (8 and 12), and had an I-26m from a Zorki-6 to also use. Long story short, it took me a while to get around to shooting with the I-22, like in February of this year. Now here it is July, and I'm finally posting the scans.

I must say the lens matches up very well with the Zorki-1d body, with focus ranges of close, medium, and infinity giving the same high quality results. It will reside there forever more, as I can't see any reason to use any other lens on my Barnack clone.

Shot on my last roll of Fujifilm Neopan Acros 100.

Phil, that lens is a very good performer : sharp and contrasty. You got some fine results there with it. Looks indeed like that lens can stay bolted on your camera.

Beautiful images, Phil. The Industar collapsibles are great, I like the I-50 version which has to be quite similar. Indeed a perfect match for a small Zorki-1.

I like that Marion sign. It made me remember the old calypso.

Thanks, Benny. Some of the sharpness came from an overly aggressive lab tech.

I keep thinking Marion, OH. The I-10, 22, and collapsible 50 are basically the same lens design, just with somewhat different barrel construction and labeling. My I-10 is completely out of register with other FSU M39 lenses, so I don't bother using it. Thanks, for the comment, and link, Julio.

That front door is a joy to shoot at
I guess we do the same but you with a car, drive around and if you see something you stop, watch and shoot if its worthy.

I very much like 'Sharps Mountain road derilict'. Great shot.

I do have a bit of the old wanderlust in me. Sometimes though, I'll go downtown and look around some. Lately it's just been too darn hot to. BTW, we have one of those twisty bendy buildings like your museum. I'll have to do a study of it now that I have the super-wide angle lenses.
