Red Oktober 2018

Often simply written as "W/NW" - your favorite photos. Explain them, or let your photos (film or digital) speak for themselves.

Red Oktober 2018

Post by PFMcFarland »

Hey guys and gals, time to dust off the FSU equipment for Red Oktober! I'll be using two cameras this year, a Zorki-1e/I-22, and a Zorki-6/J-12. You've got all month, so no rush; and no excuses!

Post them in this thread when you get done.

Phil, thanks for the reminder.

You're right, there's all October month to load a camera and shoot the film . . . hopefully I'll get it done! :)

I guess that since I invented it I should get something going.

If we all saw the world the same no one would need a camera.

Tang... I will need to buy a Commie camera first then!
I once had a Kiev but sold it after just one film through it. Better get crackin' then.

When I read this I started to look for an Iskra, I found one very cheap and I checked, it seemed to me doable to fix the two problems it had and I went for it.

Sometimes you win and sometimes is like this.
1# The winding mechanism was welded so the counting mechanism started to count with the just the film paper loaded, solution load the camera inside the changing bad.
2# Shutter works at 200 in every setting, after dismounting the slow gear mechanism I can say it is broken and it doesn't work at all, solution load TRI-X 400.
So here are 3 shots, portraits are the usual models and no better than the other ones.

At least the lens works well, Alex. Suggestion - please show us a photo of the camera that you use when you post.

Thank you for the reminder Graham, I will do when I get home. I received the photos from the lab this morning and I was eager to share them.

Nice shots, Alex. I am just curious. Have the film processing opportunities diminished where you are as they have in the U.S,?

As they have here in the U.K? I would have to mail my film off to a professional lab, or to a one of the last remaining two mail order labs left.
