Hi all,

She asked me for a photo for her university profile and I had the Hasselblad loaded so I took both Planar 80mm and Distagon 50mm and we went near home in a so-so day, windy and not hot not cold (zero Celsius degrees).

Nice light and portraits, Alex.

Normal or short teles are usually best for portraits, but the wideangle adds environment and in this case the lines frame the subject nicely.

Hope your subject liked the results, that is the ultimate test.

I think I was lucky with the background, at least I was not thinking on it, I chose one place for me, another for her and that's it.

Thank you for your compliments,for measuring the light I used and old Pentax Spotmeter pointing to some shaded part of the skin and during the shooting time sun came out a bit but I dont recall change the settings, only trying filters. Also I used the handgrip and the 90 degress viewfinder, the whole pack was heavy yes but I felt comfortable shooting this way, maybe I remove the shutter release from the handgrip to use the camera one for best eye-to-click reaction.

Mine is No8 for the dynamism I see on the whole picture, but No7 is really the way she is.

Well done. I have to agree, #7 is the one, although I see why you like #8.

Numbers 7 or 8 are both nice. Consider cropping out some of the "white" space at top (keeping all of the background building on the left).

Thank you James, good tip and I agree with it at No7, not completely at No8 for the 'BOOM' effect done at the hair and the croissant-clouds like as a wind-tunnel made it.

Beautiful pictures. All of them.

I like #1 for her eyes which are best seen in that one.
And #7 for the hair blowing around and the faint smile which seems gone in #8.
