In the last 3 weeks 3 new Nikons came to live with me.
The first one was this 4004

And then this N6006 came on Saturday.

All 3 look almost new and came with extra lenses and camera bags.
Now to burn some film.

Those Nikons look like they've found a good home. The one that looks familiar to me is the 2000, but maybe that's because it looks more like older Nikons. Good luck with them and I'll be looking for the photos soon.

I already shot the 2000 and the 4004. the 6006 has one of those stupid batteries I have to order. I need to make time to process the rolls. the 2000 was the last MF camera Nikon made in house. The FM10 was made by Chinon in China. BTW I don't have an FM10 because the people who own them seem to keep them.

I had a 6006 a long time ago. Good camera, but slow as hell autofocus.

I haven't had much luck with the 2000, mainly because when I was looking for them, I always wound up with one that had battery corrosion like crazy. Hope to rectify that situation in the future.
Have fun with your new toys, Larry.

Larry, I heard that Sigma produced some of the Quantary lenses for Ritz Camera. I have a 28-90mm, and it's a very nice lens. I have this in the Pentax KA mount.
Those Nikon bodies are so '80s and '90s with their smooth plastic covering and boxy shapes.

I have a collection of Quantry lenses that I have not ever tried. I need to check them out. yes the smooth plastic. the 2000 seems pretty heavy so it must have metal guts.

For what it's worth, I had a lot of fun in the 1980s and '90s. Also, the 1970s and most of the other decades.
