New Horse

The 2006 Ford Explorer XLT that has been my faithful steed for the last ten years started showing its age, so I traded it in on a used 2018 Ford Escape SE.
I was bound and determined to get some photos of it today, despite all the rain, so I put the Nikon D300s in a bag, installed the hood onto the lens, then cut out the bag part covering the front of the lens. Drove the Escape up to the Blue Ridge Parkway for some scenic backdrops, but gave up after the first stop as the rain really started picking up in intensity.
I started out in Program mode, but switched to Shutter Priority after the first few shots came out dark. The streaks are raindrops, frozen in time.
