My very talented daughter, who lives in Australia, is a master "Quilter." Quilting is an art form little appreciated. This is one of her quilts which she calls "The Dreaming." She has incorporated many traditional Aboriginal designs as a tribute to the indigenous people of her homeland.

You can see more details of this quilt here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmHZMJZZ

Very beautiful, Graham. She is to be complimented for the tremendous amount of work and talent to "pre-visualize" the final product.

That's a very beautiful quilt, Graham. It takes quite a bit of talent to put together a design like that. Any time a quilt comes up at auction around here, the bidding starts to intensify. My grandmother on Dad's side of the family used to do quilting, and I still have the one I was gifted with 50 years ago.

Quilts become family heirlooms, especially if they are dedicated to a particular person.

Here’s another. This one is called “Snowflake” and is just 120x120 cm. The detail is stitched in relief so it has a 3D effect.
