In a bar or pub

Whether for a cold beer, a shot of liquor or maybe just a coke, perhaps served with a pork pie or a red beet egg, a bar or pub can be a very hospitable place. Sometimes, it is a good place for photography too. How about adding your favorite bar or pub shots to this post? If you don't have a photo to show, visit your local watering hole this weekend and see what you can find!
Here's my entry, a solitary drinker in the Albion Pub, Conwy, Wales:
Looking forward to seeing what you have!

Great shot, Dennis. The colors warm the soul. Man, that "Tactical Nuclear Penguin" sounds flammable at 32%! Sorry I don't have anything to add.

Here's my contribution. I think this was a pub in King's Lynn. I remember that it was raining, which was why we were sheltering in a pub......

Graham,
Nice work! That is a superbly lighted photo.

The only shots I have are small scans. Bars often have so much character, human and otherwise. Great idea for a thread, Dennis.

Might have been Pentax ME on timer. It was dark. I don't recall well. My son had just turned 21 and we were enjoying a Guinness.

Dennis, it was just available light from a window. Olympus OM2n, 50mm f1.8 Zuiko, Kodak Gold 200, 1/15 @ f1.8 and the neg is thin.

Rose,
Thank you for joining in. I'm happy to see that you have submitted some B&W images. I think that some bars are perfect for B&W, especially if they are dark. Your photos almost have a 1940's look to them.
Graham,
Your excellent image reminded me of a photo that I took in a London pub back in 2005. I used a Minox 35 and ISO 100 film. I always loved that Minox.
Please, let's see more posts in this thread!

Don't make it into a pub much (and when I do, I usually don't have a camera handy) but here is my other vice, the coffee shop.

Nice shot, Rich,
That looks like a good place to hang out.

Thanks Dennis. I really liked the vibe of that place. Across the street there is one that is more famous- also great atmosphere.
The lighting in your shots reminds me of this place, too. A must-see for any trip to SF. I think it was a Sunday evening and therefore quiet.
