Bessa-R check run

I figured if I was going to keep shooting with Leica screw mount lenses, I might as well have an updated body to keep in the bag, especially when it comes to tricky lighting conditions such as indoors. I chose the Voigtlander Bessa-R (not that there were many options out there), and purchased the olive colored model. The metering system works well, especially in shaded situations, and so far only used two lenses on it, a Voigtlander Color-Skopar 35/2.5, and a Yashica Yashinon 50/2.8. The Color-Skopar is a good lens, but not spectacularly so, while the Yashikor has plenty of pop.

Nice results!

I have the Bessa-R and like it. I have the Bessa-L as well, and it's fun with the wide angle zone-focus "Snapshot Skopar" 25/4 as a point and shoot, but the R is a little more practical for any other kind of shooting.

Nice results from your test. I once considered a Bessa L but then found a second IIIa, so there.

Thanks, Robert and Julio. I also got a Bessa-T as my wides are in M mount. I want to keep the LTM bag as a three lens kit (35, 50, 90), but the R also has a 75 frame line, so I might get one of those later on.
