Rolleicord Va

Hi all,

Before Xmas I ordered what it seemed a good Rolleicord Va model from France to my parents in Spain, when I got there two of the front plate screws were really out... The front plate was really out of place... peeling the leather helped to screw them back, front lens has several cleaning marks and winding mechanism doesn't work well... in two rolls I lost 3 frames.

With the help of the ground glass I could see the infinity and close focusing was 'okish' so I shot two Neopan 400 rolls in the following days.

These are some photos of my home town Bilbao, some others will come later...

So far the problem with the winding is the only issue I have found after the shooting unless you consider sharpness is not the best?

Thank you for looking,
Alex

Looks quite right, Alex. What lens?

I have a Rolleicord V with the Xenar lens and like it a lot.

Good thing you know how to fix things when someone has mucked around with the camera. Bilbao is looking fine.

The Rolleicord Va is one of the cameras I have fond memories of.
My uncle had it, even with the 35mm conversion kit and many of the pcitures of my family were taken with it.

PS. Lovely pictures of Bilbao.. show us one of sone Pil-Pil... yum

Oh my. These are wonderful.

I bought (cheaply) a Rolleicord about 25 years ago. Its viewing glass was broken so I never used it other than to put one roll through it. Your pictures make me want to find it and use it again.

Four more photos, one day going to see the sea and another last shot in Madrid.

From the left to the right the beach is about 2km long, left side for surfers next to the dock.

I bet same scene can be taken in every big city.
