Kids and the Bronica SQ-A...

Hi All -

I absolutely do not use this camera enough. I need to remedy that.

I've been off work for a while now, and Maddie and I have started running around locally to take pictures. There's a spot nearby, Ringing Rocks Park, where the boulder field literally resonates when you strike the rocks with a hammer. Sounds like you're striking bells. It's really strange, but largely unoccupied in normal times. We had the place to ourselves. She brought her 20D; I brought the Bronica and the 80/2.8 and 50/3.5. It was overcast, so I loaded up HP5+. Glad I did, even though the skies cleared before we left. Some pictures from the day, just snapshot portraiture, but I haven't done enough of that in recent years:

Had a few frames left; shot a couple of Braedan before the VGK game this weekend:

I have a bunch of places I'd like to go shoot (Rickett's Glen, Daniel Boone Homestead...) but I honestly can't decide whether I'd bring the Bronica, the Seneca 8x10, the Asanuma 4x5? Good problem to have I guess.

Thanks for looking.
Scott

Those of us in lockdown envy you the opportunity to get out and make photos. Nicely done. I owned a Bronica SQ-A in the early 80's. Now I want another one!

Thanks Graham. I'm happy to get out, but I expect that will be going away soon enough - both kids are now fully remote for school this fall (just heard today on my son's junior year in college).
