Boxing training session

Post by alexvaras »

Hi all,

This last weekend we were doing picnic near the big ponds and two guys started to warm up for boxing, I liked very much the dynamics of the event and I approached them asking for permission for a few photos.
Lucky me I had my Inos II 6.5x11 with a new 70mm HP5+ loaded.
Piotr (the pupil) showed interesting on it and he asked me for waiting the gloves and the boxing training, the trainer wasn’t against the shooting.
After a while the session started and the first one was for Piotr, the guy is at least 2 meters tall.

Then the training began, I checked the distance with the external rangefinder, set aperture and I went to zone guessing after checking DOF chart on the back.

No need to say I had a big smile in my face after this session even without watching the results, I will remember this day fondly.
I liked very much and I enjoyed, I don’t think I would have so good photos with any other camera, this big panoramic negative, the right camera for the moment.

Thank you for looking,
Alex

PS: just a reminder of how the camera looks like:

Good idea to ask before shooting!

Nice series, thank Alex for sharing. That is a special camera.

Nice images, Alex. A demonstration of the successful use of an all manual, complicated camera. I know some people who use the latest all-singing-and-dancing digital gizmos who couldn't have captured images as good as these. Bravo!

pictures 2 and 4 are brilliant!!!
You should try taking them again, with both men without shirts

If you can't fix it with a hammer... you got an electrical problem
even duct tape can't fix stupid.... but it can muffle it (SilentObserver)
