More B&W from my archives

Here are some more B&W images from my archives. I find that I don't enjoy taking B&W images when I'm using a digital camera, as much as I enjoy taking them using a film camera. Somehow, with a film camera, I can "see" in B&W, whereas with a digital camera, I have to think about how the image will "convert" to B&W. Somehow, it's not the same. Nevertheless, the results can be just as good either way.

The 1st one is lovely, and pardon my ignorance What is hoar frost?


If you can't fix it with a hammer... you got an electrical problem
even duct tape can't fix stupid.... but it can muffle it (SilentObserver)

Hoar frost a greyish-white crystalline deposit of frozen water vapour formed in clear still weather on vegetation, fences, etc. Freezing fog is water droplets of deposited fog which freeze and form an icy coating. The two are similar but different.

You have too many words for ice... LoL!
SO hoarse frost is like "hairy" but freezing fog is smoother? like freezing rain?

Lovely images, Graham. It would be great if we all had film simulations on our digital cameras so we could more accurately envision the look of the captured image. I think mine would be set to Plus-X most of the time.
