These were taken while my father was filming a documentary on the training of Guide Dogs for the Guide Dog Association for the Blind. I was sometimes fortunate enough to be offered the job of stills photographer on many of his productions. I learned a lot about lighting and exposure. Earlier in my photographic life, when I was still learning the difference between f-stops and exposure values, my father confiscated my exposure meter. I had to get the exposure correct just by evaluating the lighting visually. I was never allowed to use "bracketing."
