Captivating image, Dennis. Not a multiple exposure, is it? Good to see that you got here. --- James

Thanks, James and Rich. It's good to be on the Photography Today site with you. Thanks for the heads-up on it, James. One of the intriguing things is that the people who are signing up are people who actually posted and commented on Nelsonfoto.
The photo above is a straight shot, no multiple exposures. I took it on Jan 23 at my home. The exact shot can only be duplicated for a short period in Winter, when the sun here in Arizona is low enough in the sky to shine through a dormer window and onto the chest where the kerosene lanterns are displayed. Reflection did the rest. That's why it is titled "Favorable Light".

So, the swirly background is a reflection? I'll bet that you saw this many times and "bookmarked" it for a later photo. Consider getting a print of it.
Yes, it is nice to see the life in this forum so far.
Best,
James

Nice light reflection in the background. The red and white colors work very well.
I actually used very similar kerosene lamps when I was a child and there were lots of power shortages in my area. Brings back memories.
