Shapes and Shadows

A glorious, calm, early spring day. No wind, somewhat uncommon round these parts at this time of the year! I needed to go and get a few things in this locality, so thought I would spend an hour or so wandering around the Lower Hutt city council buildings and arts centre.

I shot a roll of 35mm colour negative (Kodak Aero 100) in the Canon FTb, and once that was finished, I decided the bright sunlight and clear blue skies were too good to not take advantage of, so switched to the iPhone.

Here's some of the black and white iPhone shots - taken using the Blackie app, otherwise unedited.

Nice series of abstracts, and your style comes through in anything you shoot!

Really nice. A good reminder (for me) to look a little closer at form rather than always broadly for composition.
