Fujica Super Six - First roll

Hi, all -

Finally developed the first roll off the "new" Super Six. I will say, it's been two and a half years since I've developed film; took me a few minutes to recover the process from memory. Seemed to work, however.

The pictures are meh. They're fine, and served to confirm the camera works. Which it did/does. There's a significant amount of mottling in the results, which IIRC, Ilford had an issue with a while back. This film is years old, probably past expiry, and has been kept in my dresser. Also, the HC-110 was opened in 2020 (though I've used much older than that with no problem). Mixed new Kodafix for this, but stock was at least 2020 vintage as well.

Anyway, here're a few from lovely downtown Lewes, Delaware:

Also looks like there's a little bit of a leak along the edge(s). Not sure what to do on that'n. Not a today problem.

I have about a half dozen rolls of original (read: o-l-d) Acros in a drawer. I'm thinking now that I should use that up in the short term. Have a roll of Ektar in this camera right now; will be doing some C41 developing soonish, as well.

Thanks for looking.
Scott

They're not too shabby for "meh"! And it proves the camera works. And the camera operator still knows how to frame an image and operate the device :D

Next roll, some not-expired FP4 or Acros or similar? Or colour?

Thanks, PC. Dunno - I'm just underwhelmed by them. Appreciate the positive comments though.

The camera actually has a partially-exposed roll of Ektar 100 in it now. Also expired, I'm afraid. When finances allow again, I'll have to place an order for new film. Or troll eBay for recently post date.

Not bad at all, you got a nice little folder there! Results are excellent for a test.

The last one, girl with jumbo pumpkin, is anything but “meh”.

As for the “leak”, I only see some vignetting (?) in the left and top edges of #4, street scene. If caused by the camera, it should appear again in #5, boat, but it does not. An interesting problem. The blobs at the top in #1 are definitely not leaks, look more like a film or developing issue. A bit of left vignetting in #1, too.

The vignetting could come from the bellows not being exactly where they should be. I once had a similar problem, but a lot more marked, in a Billy.
